KMCT BHMCT Orientation Programme 2025 - 2026

The Orientation Programme at KMCT College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, one of the premier hotel management institutions in the northern region of Kerala, was thoughtfully curated to warmly welcome newly admitted students and their parents. The session provided an insightful introduction to the college, its state-of-the-art infrastructure, and a valuable platform for personal interaction with faculty members and class coordinators.

Dr. Shankar Srinivasan, Principal, addressed the gathering with an inspiring overview of how the hospitality profession unlocks limitless global opportunities. He highlighted the curriculum structure, practical sessions, assessments, internships, and the expectations of a true hospitality student. Emphasising Academic Etiquettes & Professionalism, he reiterated the importance of grooming, communication, respect, and integrity in shaping future leaders. He also encouraged students to develop a Professional & Growth Mindset to thrive in the industry.

Dr. Shamnas, Principal, KMCT College of Pharmacy, spoke about the significance of a holistic, skill-based, and value-driven education. He described the institution’s programmes as a powerful blend of academic depth and real-world exposure, uniquely designed to transform students into competent professionals capable of meeting global challenges.

Mr. Shamsuddin, Principal, KMCT College of Arts & Science, highlighted the vital role of business education in moulding future innovators and entrepreneurs. He motivated students to embrace ethical practices, creativity, and global thinking to succeed in a rapidly evolving world.

Mr. Narayana Moorthy, Human Resources Manager, The Tiara Hotel, Calicut, inspired the students to seize every opportunity that comes their way. He emphasised that the programme would not only enhance their skills but also broaden their professional outlook, helping them become resilient and adaptable leaders in the hospitality sector.

Mr. Prakash C.K., Food & Beverage Manager, The Tiara Hotel, Calicut, encouraged students to cultivate adaptability, resilience, continuous learning, and a long-term vision. He highlighted the wide spectrum of Career Pathways & Global Opportunities across hotels, tourism, airlines, cruise lines, retail, facility management, banking, ITES, and entrepreneurship.

The event concluded with a motivating address by Chef Akhil P., who urged students to stay curious, pursue excellence, and uphold the values that define the spirit of hospitality. The programme came to a proud and patriotic close with the National Anthem.
